Wenn man Bands wie: Pantera, Parkway Drive und Volbeat , in einen Topf wirft, kräftig würzt und umrührt, dann könnte eine mit VEX vergleichbare Band entstehen.

Ataque En Contra — Todavia En Pie

Formada en 1995 y con la alineación actual Maycol Chaves como baterista, Cristian Chaves como guitarrista, Jhon Jairo Velasco como vocalista, Klaudio Espinel como bajista y Alejandro Sevilla como guitarrista esta banda es precursora de la nueva escuela del hardcore en Bogota. Ataque en contra es una banda que siempre se ha caracterizado por la fuerza y crudeza de sus presentaciones en vivo. La puesta en escena de sus integrantes siempre los ha diferenciado de la mayoría de las agrupaciones nacionales. 

Sus letras, en canciones como A Nuestro Modo, Todavía En Pie, Opresor y Dinero, son el reflejo de la hostil, violenta y fría ciudad en la que han vivido y de la que se sienten orgullosos de pertenecer. Para ellos las calles y todos sus episodios son el referente a la hora de componer y se refleja una respuesta contestataria al actual gobierno y a cualquier manifestación de derecha en el entorno socio político.

Actualmente cuentan con la participación en importantes recopilaciones de Hardcore Bogotano (Evolución Bogotá HC), Colombiano (Hardcore Reality) y sudamericano (Sudamérica Hardcore), aparte de haber sacado un exitoso demo llamado Todavía en pie. Ahora se preparan para el lanzamiento de su disco recopilatorio del trabajo grabado desde el año 1995 hasta estos días que será lanzado en el marco del festival Rock al Parque 2011.
