Drones — Parasite

Drones is a five-piece punk rock band, formed by their love for all that is loud, fast and melodic. They’ve set out to provide hysteria with socio-political tunes reminiscent of Anti-Flag, Strike Anywhere, This Distillers and Rise Against. Having travelled the country playing all venues from festivals to underground squats, the band signed to Lockjaw Records in 2011 to release their debut album ‘Mutiny’. Several tours and a BBC Radio1 Maida Vale session later, the band have now revamped their line-up and will be releasing a series of singles, starting with ‘Parasite’.

Nach diversen Besetzungswechsel an den Shouts, gehen die 5 Jungs nun einen festen Weg mit dem Ziel der Veränderung. Out for Change — das ist verstrickter Hardcore mit einer Metal- und Moshkante — versehen mit ehrlichen, wütenden Versen. Es ist für alle was dabei: Punks, Old-Schooler Hardcorer, Mosher und Metalheadz. Die treibenden und abwechslungsreichen Songs handeln von Problemen auf der Welt, sind aber auch immer von einem Hoffnungsschimmer geprägt.

März 2014 erschien nach langer Arbeit und vielen Livegigs endlich das lang erhoffte und im guten alten DIY-Sinne produzierte Debut-Album «Continue».
